Engaged by a Metro Atlanta based publicly traded paperboard and container company to rebuild a legacy MS Excel based capacity planning production model maintained by the company’s Supply Chain Team and relied on to provide company leadership the forecasted inventory levels by product grade on a rolling 12-month basis. Required extensive MS Excel skills, strong understanding of inventory accounting and knowledge of the company’s sales forecasting and production capacity across multiple business units. Once built, tested and officially deployed, engaged to maintain and report the results for over a year as a member of the Supply Chain Finance group.

Engaged by a well known celebrity to resolve ongoing IRS tax matters. Obtained mutliple years of bank statements to reconstruct auditable financial statements and worked with the assigned IRS revenue agent to legally and successfully remove tax debt.

An accounting service client looking to retire requested advice on a possible sale of the business to a colleague for a price I deemed below value. Agreed to help client find a qualified buyer for a finder’s fee. Successfully found a PE-Backed firm to purchase the business. During the process, unexpectedly had to come in to assist with the due-diligence to ensure closing. Buyer was extremely grateful with the quality of work provided during due-diligence process. Later hired for a consulting project by the same PE Backed firm for another transaction.

Through a consulting firm, engaged to provide support for the annual external audit for a large PE Backed healthcare company at high risk of debt covenant default due to missing the audit deadline. Assigned to provide full technical support to the company’s accounting department for the audit of complex insurance reserve accruals. Obtained massive data dump and recalculated the incurance accrual reserve and provided a strong audit trail for the reasoning and obtained full buy-in from the auditors. Later provided detailed instruction to the company’s accounting director on how to calculate the reserve and maintain proper support.

Through a consulting firm, engaged to assist with the Sell-Side Due Diligence of a relatively small clinical research trials company looking to be acquired by a larger company in the same industry. Served as the conduit between the company’s small staff and the assigned Big 4 due diligence team. Converted the company’s cash basis financials to US GAAP accrual and successfully addressed the due-diligence team’s questions. The deal closed successfully. This particular project led to more engagements in the clinical research trials space for the consulting firm. A space in which they never worked.
